The Boerne ISD Board of Trustees held their regular monthly meeting in the BISD Board Room on Monday, January 22, 2024.
This month's Board meeting included:

Reports to the Board
The Board heard the following reports and/or updates from District Administration
- Population and Survey Analysis (PASA) prepared a report to the Board on a demographics study recently performed by PASA in the Fall of 2023. The report reviews trends and projections for the area and the District as well as the impact of the growth on the District’s facilities.
- The BISD Operations Department provided the Board an update on the progress of 2022 Bond projects. (Please see a video update below)
- Kendall County Commissioner Precinct 3 Richard Chapman updated the Board regarding the progress of building the Kendall County Fire and EMS station on the Voss Middle School property. The project came in under budget and will serve as additional safety and security for the VMS campus.
The Board also:
- Approved the monthly personnel report
- Approved the monthly purchasing report
- Approved the monthly financial report
- Approved the quarterly investment report
- Approved the 2024-25 BISD Course Catalog
- Called for a BISD General Election on May 4, 2024

School Board Recognition Month
As we continue to celebrate School Board Recognition Month, we are forever grateful to our amazing Boerne ISD Board of Trustees!
Thank you for leading our district to new and impressive heights each and every year. We are greatly appreciative of your hard work and dedication.

Board of Trustees Election called
The Board Approved an Election Order that calls for a general election on Saturday, May 4, 2024, for Boerne Independent School District Trustees Place 1, Place 2, and Place 3 This will be a joint election with the Kendall County Elections Office.
Bond 2022 Project Update
Character Counts
Members of the Rotary Club of Boerne and Boerne Sunrise Rotary discussed the partnerships they have at Kendall and Fabra Elementary, as well as Champion and Boerne High School.
The Rotary Clubs sponsor scholarships for BISD students, as well as partner with our campuses on peer leadership development opportunities, and more.
Student Limelight Recipient
Boerne ISD has named the Student Limelight Recipient for January.
Congratulations to Boerne MS North 8th grader Mac Mroz!

Superintendent's Report
- Dr. Craft stated she is in her 4th week as Superintendent
- Dr. Craft attended the Kendall County Jr. Livestock Show twice and met many of our BISD students and staff
- In her first week Dr. Craft attended various training sessions and learned with BISD teachers
- In her first two days of the second semester Dr. Craft visited all 12 BISD campuses, including, rode bus #125 with Van Raub students, and served lunch to students at Fabra and Voss
- Dr. Craft met with various business leaders and the BISD Community Leadership Academy
- Dr. Craft's Top 3 take aways thus far: relationships matter, the rigor in the classroom is top notch, and deep community commitment
- Dr. Craft hosted her first Listen + Learn meetings with Principals and PTO Presidents
- Dr. Craft's first meeting as Superintendent was with our Safety and Security Team and she outlined she is impressed with our security efforts
