Table of Positive Thinking
Thank you to everyone who wore green on Friday May 19th and came by the table in the lunchroom to add to the positive self talk poster!
"The way you speak to yourself matters"
The poster is so full :)
Student Spotlights!
Pictured are Woodworking students (and Varsity baseball players) Thomas Harvey, Porter Stanchfield, and Noah Gaghan". They designed and built this helmet rack for the home dugout of the BHS baseball field.
Student Campus Clean Up
On May 15th, Freshmen FLEX students and their teachers participated in a campus cleanup
Students spent the sunny spring morning collecting litter and cleaning up fallen debris from the winter months
Students who participated all received an hour of community service to count toward their 30 required hours for graduation
BHS freshmen and seniors attended a substance use prevention presentation
On May 16th and 17th, the presentation included Detective Roma and School Resource Officer Bedard from the Brunswick Police Department. Representatives from the organization, Students Empowered to End Dependency (S.E.E.D.) also spoke with students and shared their stories of recovery.
The presentation included BHS Anatomy and Physiology teacher, Pamela King and BHS Drug and Alcohol Counselor, Geno Ring. Many thanks to BHS Senior, Kathleen Mears, who brought this program idea forward and assisted in the planning and coordination.
The Counseling Corner
Tentative 2023-24 Class Schedules will be distributed to students Thursday, June 1 during FLEX
Please be advised that schedules are TENTATIVE and that class times, locations and teacher assignments may change over the summer. Schedules received in FLEX at the beginning of next school year will reflect any changes and will be the FINAL schedules.
Students may address schedule questions, additions and errors beginning Thursday, June 1 and continuing through June 15. After the close of the school year, counselors will not be available again until the month of August.
If students wish to schedule a summer appointment, please call the Counseling Office (319-1912) to determine when your counselor is available.
