Reading

Students can identify plot elements in a story. Students can understand how the plot elements help bring a story together.

We will be doing read alouds, having collaborative discussions and analyzing the different plot elements.

Writing

Students can paraphrase or summarize a piece of text they read and check their written work for plagiarism.

We will be reading an informational text and put it into our own words.

Math

Students can represent a number on a number line and use words to describe relative size of numbers in order to round.

We will be doing number talks and practicing number problem solving.

Science

Students can measure, test, and record physical properties of matter.

We will be discussing characteristics of matter, as well as finding and sorting objects by their properties of matter.

We appreciate your support in continuing these discussions at home.

Please come to our office hours to get technology or assignment help! That is our designated time to help students one-on-one and it is a great time to make sure everything is working.

Each teacher will hold office hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM on their class Zoom link.
