Mill Valley Weekly
Thursday, February 20th, 2020
Hello Mill Valley Families.
Back in September, we had lunch with all 39 new to Mill Valley students to welcome and get to know them. Yesterday, we met again for lunch and the students shared what they like about Mill Valley and talked about the friendships they've made so far. What fun!
New this year, The Moving Company has been implemented at Mill Valley to help students who need a movement break to get back in the GREEN zone and be ready to learn. Every student has the opportunity to use The Moving Company when they are feeling that their emotions are in the BLUE or YELLOW zone. Here is a slide show to help explain what The Moving Company is all about.

Mill Valley Welcomes Chris Redwing
A message from Chris:
I have been in the Muskego-Norway Schools as a custodian for 8 years. I am married to my wonderful wife, Lisa, and have two children, Zoe and Sydney, who went to Mill Valley when they were younger.
In my spare time I enjoy camping, hiking, and kayaking...and sometimes reading a good book. I am really looking forward to getting to know everyone here at Mill Valley.
Chris is replacing Miss Melissa who retired from her position as one of our Mill Valley evening custodians. We will miss her and wish her well.

Dr. Seuss Week 2020
To celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday and Read Across America, we will be having Spirit Days all week inspired by Dr. Seuss books. At MV we are proud and fortunate to have numerous books to read. We’d like to support other children’s learning around our community with books.
During the week, students can bring in gently used or new books to be donated to Robyn’s Nest of Children’s Hospital. Boxes will be at the entrance of the building.

Attendance Matters
Keep your children healthy:
a. Dress them warmly for the cold weather
b. Stress the importance of eating a good breakfast every morning
c. Consistently wash lunch boxes & water bottles
d. Stress hand washing, particularly in the winter months
Send your child to school with a small bottle of hand sanitizer. Research shows that something as simple as hand washing can improve attendance
