We again ask families to make sure that students check their Gmail for messages from their teachers and check both their Google Classroom and their myMCPS classroom.

New Information on the Distance Learning Webpage

This week, we have two new features:

1. We are uploading a Virtual Agenda Book to help students and families organize their workload and manage their time. We have heard many students needed support so Mrs. Floyd has provided a template for you to use.

2. We have uploaded videos and tutorials on how to use myMCPS classroom since many students and families are still learning the platform. Again, please check the Parkland newsletter and website for this new information.

Please also note that we have a dedicated Distance Learning page for families which can be found on our website and a link will be in the newsletter. Information like schedules, teacher office hours, and more will be stored here.

Tutoring Support

As a support, the National Honors Society at JFK High School is offering tutoring support for students. Please see the newsletter for more information. We will also be posting list of resources in the newsletters and on the Parkland webage.

A Message from PTSA

Parkland PTSA will be hosting a Zoom session for families to hear about and share ways to support their children at home with the distance learning. Mrs. Mitchell will send out information soon. The meeting will be Wednesday, May 6 at 7 pm.
