A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

WELCOME TO STEELE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!

On behalf of the Steele School staff, I would like to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year. Much planning, enthusiasm, and hard work have gone into preparing for a successful school year filled with memorable learning experiences for every child!

This year will be spent honoring the wonderful work that has been done to make Steele School the welcoming, resilient and student-centered school that it is today…while at the same time, embracing some exciting and innovative changes to help our students stay safe, grow socially, emotionally and academically and challenge themselves to reach new heights.

Look for monthly “Parent Power Hour” letters coming home with your child. Topics will include:

-Safety Protocols

-Social-Emotional Learning

- Family Nights

- Defined Learning STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) curriculum

- The Science of Reading

-Tips to support your child at home.

I look forward to meeting each of you. Your input, feedback, and support will be critical to my leadership, the teaching and learning environment, and the success of your child in our school.
