STEM Career Day Events at Junior High Schools
LASD & LAEF are excited to kick off the 3rd STEM Career Day Events at Egan and Blach Jr. High Schools this spring. STEM pervades every part of our life. STEM education creates critical thinkers, increases science literacy, and enables the next generation of innovators. We believe that exposing students to different aspects and careers in this field will inspire them and spark passion.
If you are a parent, grandparent or community member who would like to share your career story with students at Egan on March 25 and/or Blach on March 26, please contact Karen Wilson, STEM Coordinator at kwilson@lasdschools.org or Anjana Nagarajan-Butaney, LASD parent at anjana.nagarajan1@gmail.com
Also, please mark your calendars for the STEM Night Event being held on Monday, March 25 at Egan Jr. High starting at 7pm. Speakers to be announced in the near future.
Springer Yearbook
It's time to go thru your devices and send us your favorite pictures for the yearbook. We need pictures for:
First Day of School
Walk A Thon
Halloween
Around Campus
Class specific (like field trips or class parties )
You can upload your pictures right into the program we use (PREFERRED METHOD).
Get your pictures in the yearbook! The Yearbook Staff invites students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you've got great photos of school and community events or you and your friends just having fun, we'd like to see them. Our photographers can't be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have.
Here is how you can submit photos online:
- Go to: https://images.memoryebooks.com/login
- If it does not automatically log you into the site, enter username: 412623674
- Browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload.
- Enter information about the photo and provide contact information in case the staff needs additional information.
- Click "Save Details".
It's that easy! Submit your photos today! The last day to submit photos is 04/13/2018.
If you have any problems, you can also email the yearbook team: ybspringer@gmail.com
Please be sure to label the pictures in the subject line: Eg: Halloween Pictures or Pictures from Mrs. Mooers class.
As a reminder, the PTA has paid for each student to receive a yearbook. The yearbooks are distributed to the children in early June.
Thanks so much!
