Happy December!

December is an exciting time for our building. With only two weeks left before break, teachers are busy trying to finish up what they need to for first semester, while balancing fun holiday activities. Holiday spirit week (December 12-16) is next week with fun dress up days. Donuts with Santa and the Holiday Boutique are two events that are students enjoy doing every year. Details for those events are below.

We are here to help and support, however we can. Your children are important to us and we want nothing but the best for them. As is always the case, please reach out to use if you have any concerns or questions.

Donuts with Santa - Saturday, December 10th

This Saturday (December 10), we are hosting our Donuts with Santa event. The event runs from 8am to 10am and will be held in our gym and in our cafeteria. Donuts will be sold for $1 in the cafeteria and comes with milk. Santa will be in the gym with several fun activities for students to do while they wait to talk and get their picture with Santa. Bring the whole family and get into the holiday spirit!

There will not be a photographer in the gym. You will want your phone or camera to take pictures.

Christmas Boutique

Our annual Christmas Boutique takes place Tuesday, December 13. All students will have a chance to come to the gym to pick out pre purchased items to wrap for parents, grandparents, and guardians. We ask that students bring $2 to be able to shop for family members.

Our students love picking out items that they think their parents, grandparents, and guardians may like. Items get wrapped by volunteers and students are able to bring them home.

Kops and Kids Canned Food Drive

We are in the middle of our Kops and Kids Canned Food Drive.

The challenge: Students bringing canned food items to their homeroom teacher for pickup on Friday, December 16. All food donations go to our local food pantry. The classroom with the most food donations wins a pizza party with our school resource officer.

Last day to donate is on Friday, December 16.

Winter Break

Winter break starts on Wednesday, December 21 and runs through Tuesday, January 3. There will not be school from the 21st through the 3rd. The first day back from break for students will be on Wednesday, January 4.

Winter Break is always a good time for students and staff members to relax and recharge after almost 90 days of learning and working hard.

3rd Graders went to Busch Stadium

All of our 3rd grade students went to Busch Stadium on November 29 and 30 for their class field trip. Students enjoyed STEM activities, eating lunch in the stadium, and getting to see the field. Our field trips are awesome experiences for our students.

2nd Grade Choir Performance - December 15th

Our 2nd grade choir performance is on Thursday, December 15. The performance begins at 5:30 in our gym. All parents, guardians, and family members are welcome to attend and enjoy the holiday performance.

Our 2nd grade students will be performing "Jingle Bell Jukebox."

Additional information was sent home by our music teacher, Mrs. North, in November.

5th Grade DARE Graduation - December 19th

5th grade DARE graduation is on Monday, December 19. The celebration begins at 1:30 and all parents and guardians are welcome to attend. The graduation will take place in the gym.
