Congratulations to Reagan Parmley on winning Semi-State in bowling two weeks ago! She will complete in the State Championship on Saturday, February 10th. Good luck Reagan!

Congratulations to Tyler Flynn! Tyler finished off a great Wrestling season by advancing to the Regional last weekend. Great job and we are proud of you!

A couple of weekends ago, the BRV High School Choir experienced historic success at their District Solo & Ensemble Contest and now will move on to the State Contest where much success is also expected.

BRV singers brought home the Gold Medal in 6 of the 7 events we entered and the Silver Medal in one event.

As we begin the start of second semester, here are a few reminders to help the school year to continue to run smoothly.

• Sick Child at School - If your child gets sick or feels sick at school, please remind them that the protocol is to report to the nurse in the office first. She will document symptoms and then inform parents when their child needs to go home. It is important that we are consistent and following protocols. Thank you for your assistance with this.
• Car Riders Pick-Up Line - Students need to be picked up in the circle drive outside of the main entrance only (Door 1). Students are NOT permitted to walk across Viking Trail to get in cars parked at Irvin Park. This is a safety concern for our students as well as the drivers. Please help us by reminding your child and waiting patiently in the pick-up line.
• Attendance - Please make sure if your child will not be at school that you call the school and let us know their name and reason for absence. As a reminder, we are following the Attendance Policy outlined in our Student Handbook this year.

This week is National Counselors Week and we'd like to thank our School Counselor, Mrs. Lori Clone. Mrs. Clone is dedicated to Blue River Valley Schools and her students. We appreciate all of your hard work not just this week but every week. Happy National Counselors Week, Mrs. Clone!

As a reminder, please keep an eye on your student's lunch account and add money as needed. You can put money in his or her account using cash, check, or My School Bucks (there is a fee).
