Principals Message
Good morning GREEN parents/guardians,
Here are some reminders for this week:
-The Trimester 2 Progress Reports were sent home on Friday, January 21. Please find time to sit with your students to review the current grade marks your student is earning. The great news is that ALL students have time to push the grades up - GPA Grade Point Average, as these are mid-trimester marks. Ensure your student is submitting all assignments by visiting Student or Parent Connect on our website. Your child needs to have a quiet space with all materials required to complete homework assignments and projects.
-Your students benefit from a consistent sleeping pattern and plenty of hours to rest and be ready for learning. Students perform better when they’re not mentally or physically tired. Please supervise that your student is NOT staying up using their electronic devices like the cellular phone or Chromebook. Thank you for supporting the learning success of your student.
-Teachers will be administering the mathematics screener on Monday, January 24th, and January 25th. As previously stated, the well-rested student has better chances of performing at their best.
-If your student was absent due to COVID-19 quarantining or isolating, they must stop by the front office to obtain an Admittance Pass. It indicates the student concluded the Public Mandate and is cleared to return to school.
-All students are required to wear a face mask. Please remind your student to bring their mask to school daily. The GREEN Staff appreciates your support as we continue to navigate through this pandemic.
Mrs Melgoza-Vasquez, Principal

January 24th is National Compliment Day!
A compliment has a powerful effect. It can instill confidence in a child, or validate someone’s hard work. A compliment not only improves the receiver’s mood, but it also says something about the giver. It tells them you noticed. Whether we recognize someone’s achievement or their classic style, a compliment can go a long way.
