Mega week ahead! I have always loved homecoming weeks and opportunities to celebrate how great of a school this is. I wanted to take the time this week to highlight a few of the events coming up and also bring up a few other projects we have going on around the school.

Thats enough talking from me, let's get to it.

While we do not have school Monday, that is no reason not to kick off Spirit week big. I am excited that Brandi Fritz and the cheerleaders took on the project of bringing our school its first powder puff in a long time. It is a great way to have clean fun and have a little bit of friendly competition. The game is going to be at 6:00 pm and it is a FLAG FOOTBALL game. no tackling, fighting, biting, or breaking. We are here to have fun and I have been hearing rumors that our cheerleaders are going to be top notch for the game as well.

One added bonus to the event is that we will be having a tailgate for the game from Cobra Backers in the form of a free will donation pizza and brownie dinner.

Also our stream team has gotten so fired up that they will be live streaming the game with all the flair the boys can possibly put into their work.

It will be a fun night!!

Tuesday's spirit day: Little Miss (I hear this is a meme of the classic children's book. I am told that students are either decorating a shirt, printing out their own meme, or letting their imaginations run wild. The ladies in the office got together and decided mine will be Little Mister Big Ideas.

In addition to the fun there, Charitable Vending will be offering shaved ice in the commons during seminar and throughout lunch.

Wednesday Spirit Day: Alphabet day (dress like something that also starts with the first letter of your first name.) y'all can have some fun with this one.

In addition to spirit day, Mr. Baldridge will be bringing his petting zoo to the school that day for the elementary and high school students to enjoy throughout the day. He also has a baby camel!!!

Thursday Spirit Day: 50 years from now (dress like you will look in fifty years. Since I am assuming I will probably not like how I will look in fifty years, I have put it on the teachers to dress like they would have looked during their senior year of high school.)

Thursday night we will be having a bonfire west of the football field after the Middle School game and holding a car bash as well. We will be playing music and asking the coaches to speak about the season. And maybe the coaches want to take out some frustration on our donated cars. Thanks to Devin White and Dave Peters for donating not one but two cars to bash. There is no explaining how satisfying it is to beat up a car with a sledge hammer, but until you try it, you will never know. This is a community event, so come on out and have a good time. We only ask that we please stay off the football field as Troy works crazy hard to keep it looking nice and we want it to stay that way for Friday's game.

Friday Spirit Day: Green and Gold day (show off that cobra spirit and dress to the nines in cobra gear)

Friday 8th hr will be a pep rally in the HS gym (2:45 pm) we will live stream it on facebook for those that want to watch.

The American Legion and Local VFW will be honoring Veterans prior to the game with a flag ceremony. All Veterans are asked to come to the 50 yard line at 6:50 to be part in the ceremony.

The game against Centralia will begin at 7:00 pm. At halftime we will introduce the homecoming court and announce the 2022 King and Queen.

After the game, we will be having the Homecoming dance in the HS gym.

I have always strongly supported spirit week activities. There are little events in school where you get to have unapologetic fun and spirit week is one of them. Here is me in a previous life (at a school that shall not be named) with my fellow science teachers coordinating our spirit outfits for "Disney movie day" our department chose up. guess which one I am.
