September 13, 2019
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT - WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2019
We are looking forward to seeing all of you at the George School 'Back to School Night'. Each year we alternate times for grade level presentations. This year's schedule is as follows:
6:30-7:00 PM Grades 3-5 Classroom Visitations
7:00-7:10 PM Class Transitions
7:10-7:40 PM Grades K-2 Classroom Visitations
Specialists will be available in their classrooms at 'Back to School Night' from 6:30-7:00, and 7:10-7:40.
Please make sure to stop by the Gymnasium throughout the evening to speak with Mrs. Hickey, Mrs. Scaduto, Mrs. Jurjevic, Mrs. Alessi, and other George School staff.
This evening will provide you with the opportunity to meet with teachers, and learn about curriculum for your child's class, as well as district plans. Back to School Night is for parents only, so we request that parents leave students at home. Also, please be sure to sign up for upcoming parent conferences, scheduled for October 21, 22, and 23. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, September 18th.
Regards,
Victoria Hickey

FOOD ALLERGY AWARENESS
The students and staff of George Elementary School reviewed food allergies during the first day of school. Mrs. Alessi and Ms. Farinella presented an informational presentation with great input from all! Everyone is aware of the “big eight” food triggers, signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction, what to do and how to prevent an allergic reaction. Please discuss this important health topic with friends and family.
