Guided 365 Day Reflection Journal
Scripture For Grief, Recovery, & Joy for March 1

This Months Scripture
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13
Preparation for this month
When preparing for the month ahead think about the following: Love never fails.
Food For Thought
Love is one of the greatest gifts. It is a force that binds us together, transcending any boundaries or limitations put upon us by society. Kindness, strength, perseverance are all aspects of love.
Kindness helps us to connect on an emotional level with those around us, and can bring about positive change in our lives. Strength is often seen as something physical, but it’s also something that’s found in the heart of someone who loves deeply. It takes strength to be able to face the challenges life brings us and stay focused on the path ahead even when we feel like giving up.
Perseverance is what will help us reach our goals no matter how hard they seem. It doesn't matter if it's personal or professional; by being steadfast in our endeavors, we can make progress towards achieving happiness and fulfillment in Christ!
Kindness, strength, and perseverance are just a few of many traits that make up true love - it's something we can choose to practice every day!
How can you find moments this month to practice kindness, strength, and perseverance? Maybe it is taking the time to show your love for someone close to you by sending an encouraging text message or helping out your spouse, child or friend with a task. Remember you can bring about a positive change in the world around YOU - even in the simplest ways.
This Months Goals
When planning for the month ahead consider how you can:
Be more conscious of God's Love in your life and how it is manifested throughout your daily actions.
Cultivating relationships with those around you, practicing kindness, understanding and compassion.
Forgiving ourselves and/or others for past mistakes while learning from them to become a better version of ourselves.
Taking time to be still and trusting in the Love of God even during difficult times.
Remembering that Love is greater than any fear or division that may stand in our way.
Taking time to reflect on the last few months and looking ahead to the next few months.
Today's Scripture
“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.
Acts 17:24 NIV
Today's Guide
When preparing for today, think about the following: God’s Grace Through the Holy Spirit is Life-Giving.
Food For Thought
The God who created the entire universe and all of its contents is none other than the One who also made you. He doesn't desire a relationship with physical dwellings such as temples; instead, God longs to live within us and has given us the gift of grace to receive Him into our lives. Through the Holy Spirit, we are able to experience God in a more intimate way than if we were merely to visit a temple or house of worship.
When we open our hearts to accept His grace, God will fill us with His presence and draw us closer to Him. With His burning love that never fades, He will lavish us with mercy and kindness beyond measure. The ultimate reward for allowing God's grace into our lives is that it transforms us from within and leads us down a path of truth. We are able to find strength in times of weakness, courage during times of fear, wisdom when faced with confusion, and joy when sorrow takes hold.
God's grace also gives us the capacity to forgive ourselves for our wrongdoings and mistakes while simultaneously forgiving others who have hurt us in some way. Through it, we come to recognize that although life can be challenging at times, it is nonetheless something infinitely precious that should be celebrated and cherished each day. Ultimately, understanding the deep importance of receiving God's grace makes this incredible gift an essential aspect of living a healthy spiritual life that seeks deeper understanding between us and our Creator.
Gratitude
Today, we are reminded again of God's gift of life, His desire for a relationship, and His forgiveness. God made the world and everything in it; He loves us unconditionally and offers us forgiveness when we turn to Him. Taking time to find gratitude daily helps us to see His mercy, grace, and peace. Today, take time to look at the big picture of your life and take time to be grateful for all that He has done in your life. How can you find gratitude for all the victories, the storms, the times of restoration and peace?
Today's Prayer
Holy Spirit, You are welcome here in my heart, mind, soul, and spirit. Amen
