Note from the Principal

Good morning!

Our wonderful Home and School Association is having several fun and fundraising events this week. See more information below and don't miss out!

Tomorrow, St. Mary of the Assumption School has the privilege of hosting the Elementary School Principals Association for their quarterly meeting in the FLC. There will be no cross contact between the participants and students, so the school day will not be affected for students in any way, but the gates will not open for dismissal until 2:45 p.m. so ensure the principals can depart from campus prior to the start of carline. Please do not arrive prior to 2:45 p.m. for pick up on Tuesday.

Mrs. Ramirez is looking for help in the kitchen! If you are Virtus certified and want to assist in the kitchen from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on a regular schedule or as needed, please email smeyer@stmaryum.org. It's a great way to earn service hours!

Countdown to Christmas with the St. Mary's Ryken Youth Honors Chorus!

The St. Mary’s Ryken Youth Honors Chorus program is back for its 11th year! The chorus program is open to all talented singers in grades 5-8. Students are invited to join SMR Choral Director, Mrs. Kim Norris and Mr. Jonathan Hellerman to take their skills to the next level. Rehearsals begin on Sept. 30 and the final performance is Dec. 3 at St. Mary’s Ryken. The theme this year is “Countdown to Christmas with Songs from Christmas Movies!” More information can be found on the SMR web site and a flyer is attached. Please join us!

Family Fun Fest/Movie Night

Hello St. Mary’s Parents,

On Saturday, September 25, 2021 HSA is hosting our 1st Family Fun Fest/Movie Night from 4-8 p.m.. There will be moon bounces, interactive games, The Photo Booth Lab, DJ, food and more.

Fall Picture Day

Fall Pictures will take place on September 28th. Students must wear full winter uniform for fall pictures, which will be used in the yearbook. Spring pictures, which will take place in March/April, will be out of uniform.
