DYSLEXIA ASSESSMENT TRAINING!
Virginia Gonzalez is coming for dyslexia assessment training! If you need training or an update on formal assessment, please join us May 6th and 7th at Region 18! Ms. Gonzalez will be training on the following assessments:
GORT-5 and CTOPP-2 Test Administration
Dyslexia Assessment: WRMT-III, TWS-5, CTOPP-2, GORT-5
NEW TEKS and HOT ELAR TOPICS
New ELAR TEKS are coming very soon! Our new TEKS for grades K-8 will be in full swing at the beginning of school next year. The ELAR team at Region 18 is surely preparing and looking forward to having grade level teachers and specialists come and learn all about the format of the TEKS, the rigor of the TEKS, and the best instructional practices for teaching them. In addition, the ELAR team at Region 18 will be leading other workshops on hot topics for you to peruse.

FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT
Formative assessment is a best practice for everyone, but for students with dyslexia, it becomes vital to their success. Jennifer Timme from Region 18 will be conducting a workshop on Formative Assessment on June 18th.
SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL NEEDS OF DYSLEXIC STUDENTS
