Message from the Principal
Next week we have Career Week! Please sign up to give a guest presentation about your career here! We would love to have you come in and speak about your career. We’ll be having an assembly on Monday, 11/6 in the afternoon, and we’d love for you to stop in to share about your career at that time as well. Please see the sign up! You can dress in work attire, or bring items from your work. Let’s inspire our students with ideas for their future careers!
Our Adolescent Program visited Nature’s Classroom Institute this week!!! I had the opportunity to join on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. I observed amazing community building! The students engaged in a survival skill workshop, including building shelters, foraging for food, and fire building. A special thank you goes out to all the parent chaperones and our amazing staff members Ms. Dawson, Mrs. Berghammer, and Ms. Finch for leading and coordinating efforts throughout the trip.
Fundraising forms for Upper Elementary and Adolescent Program are due November 15th, 2023. This includes Seroogy’s, City Tins, Colectivo, etc. Please encourage your students to dedicate time to their fundraising efforts! Families are also welcome to purchase cases of Seroogy’s chocolates for $48/case and then students can sell right out of the box. Students are also welcome to sell items after school!
Parents/guardians are invited to attend the Wisconsin Montessori Association Conference next week Saturday, November 11. The Keynote Speaker presentation entitled “Building Independence” with AMI Montessori Trainer Gabriella Lopez is scheduled for 9-9:50 a.m. The cost for parents is only $10 for the morning sessions or $25 for the morning sessions and lunch. You can register here or pay at the door (Fernwood Montessori School, 3239 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53207). Ms. Brenner, Ms. Dawson, Ms. Ioulia Ionina, Mrs. Grassmann, Mrs. Rosich, and Principal Pallin are already signed up to attend on Saturday! We truly hope to see you there! This is a once-in-a-year opportunity to network with Montessori enthusiasts from around the state and country!
