Kennedy Family Update
April 6, 2023
From the Principal
Dear Families,
ELA MCAS is next Tuesday and Wednesday.
Please remind your student(s) to bring a fully charged Chromebook to school each day. If your student has lost the school-issued charger, replacement chargers are available for purchase.
Also, please note. Students can not have access to cell phones or other electronic devices during testing. Results may be invalidated for students who use cell phones or other electronic devices at any time during a test session, including after students turn in their test materials, during a break, or during the transition to a test completion area. This includes Apple watches. Electronic devices must be off and secured in lockers or in a box in the testing location.
We have also seen an increase in gum and candy in the building. Some students have attempted to sell gum and candy to other students. Students have been reminded that gum and candy are not to come to school per the handbook. Sharing candy/food is not permissible as it is a safety concern related to allergies. Students are not sell items during the school day with the exception of approved fundraisers. Please help us by reviewing these expectations with your student(s). Students who continue to bring these items to school will receive consequences.
MCAS Testing Schedule
ELA Grades 6-8: April 11 and 12
Math Grades 6-8: May 17 and 18
Sci: Grade 8 only: May 23 and 24
