Blair Oaks welcomes students of all ability levels in our 2021 Summer Sports Camps. To help coaches finalize t-shirt orders, please register ASAP.

1. View the 2021 Summer Sports Camp Form
   Choose your camps. Enrollment is based on the grade student enters in the fall of 2021.
   
   
2. Enroll for camps via the 2021 Google Registration Form
   The Google form is designed to enroll one student; families with multiple children must complete a Google form for each child. Online enrollment ensures your child's reservation and camp shirt (if provided).
   
   
3. Print the 2021 Summer Sports Camp Form and bring it to the first day of camp with payment.
   School offices will be coordinating camps via the online enrollment form. The paper copy and payment should be with your child on the first day of camp to help coaches and volunteers at the payment table.
   

• What: Random Acts of Kindness Fundraiser
• When: April 27 - May 7
• Recipient: Jefferson City Animal Shelter

The RAK's Club is hosting a Food Drive for the Jefferson City Animal Shelter. Donations or monetary support can be dropped off in front of the high school office. The list of items needed include:

• Money donations
• Fancy Feast Pate' Kitten Food
• Cat Litter (Tidy Cat Clay Litter - NonClumping Only)
• Kong dog toys & Small cat toys
• Kuranda Beds
• Office Supplies
• Towels (They can't use blankets or pillows)
• Dog Collars
• Powder Laundry Detergent HE Front Load, also Powder Bleach (any brand)
• Dryer Sheets
• Stamps
• Cardboard flats (to use as litter pans)
• Soft dog treats
• Rolls of dog lean up bags

The Missouri Assessment Program assesses students' progress toward the Missouri Learning Standards. All students are required to participate in EOC assessments for accountability purposes. We wanted to share our end-of-course exam schedule so you could mark your calendar to be sure your student is present on the following dates.

• Must be 15 years of age by June 15, 2021
• Class: June 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, plus 18 driving hours required.
• Cost: Enrollment fee and cost of breakfast/lunch

High School Physical Education

• Dates: June 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29
• Students missing more than one day will not receive credit
• Free enrollment. Cost is only the cost of breakfast and lunch.

Please review the attached Sexual Abuse Prevention Education letter from our school counselors, Jill Shanley and Julie Graessle. Per Missouri law, beginning this school year, our district will provide age and developmentally appropriate sexual abuse prevention education to students. This training is scheduled for Tuesday, May 11th. The goal of this programming is to keep your children safe and to empower them with tools to respond.

• What: Band & Choir Spring Concert
• When: Tuesday, May 11, 2021
• Where: High School Gymnasium
• Choir concert begins at 6:00 p.m.
• Band concert begins at 6:45 p.m.

When: Wednesday, May 12, 2021

Where: Blair Oaks High School Gym

Time: 6:30 p.m.

Parents of students who will be recognized at the Academic Awards Ceremony will receive an email from the high school office before April 30th. Be watching your e-mail for notification. Students will also receive a copy of the notification.

LIBRARY NOTICE:

• Seniors: Fines must be paid and all books returned before 5/11/21.
  
• All Others: Fines must be paid and all books due before 5/18/21.
  

If your child has any questions about their library account, they are welcome to visit the library during the school day.

LUNCH BALANCE NOTICE:

Outstanding meal charges must be paid before the end of the school year. Parents and students are encouraged to regularly check the PowerSchool portal for lunch account balances.

• Seniors should have balances paid before 5/14/21.
  
• Underclassmen should have balances paid by 5/21/21.

LOCKER & PARKING SIGN-UP:

Locker and parking sign-ups for the 2021-2022 school year will occur in early August after construction is completed. Students who have negative balances for lunch, library, textbook, or Chromebook fees will not be able to make a reservation until balances are current.

• What Sports Physicals Clinic!
  Dr. Galbraith will be at school on June 11th from 3-5:00 p.m. to administer the exam that is required for sports physicals.
  
  
• Since sports physicals are good for a specific number of days, the timing of the clinic has been set so the sports physical should cover a one or two-year sports season.
  
  
• Note that the location of the clinic is to be determined. We will announce it later.
  

The Cole County Health Department has extended their hours of operation to 6:00pm for the Vaccination Clinic. See attached flyer below for additional information.

The Blair Oaks R-II School District is now accepting applications for a Building Administrative Assistant for the 2021-2022 school year. This position will be in the high school.
