Leander ISD is currently accepting applications to serve on the Long-Range Planning Committee (LRPC) only. The application is open to parents, community members, and secondary students who are interested in partnering with the district in an advisory role to carry out the mission of the LRPC. You can view the LRPC Charter, mission, and additional information on the LRPC webpage.

The deadline to apply is 5:00pm on Friday, May 19. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee selection for service. However, if you are not selected to serve on the committee, outreach opportunities will continue to be available for community members to provide input, share ideas, and participate in shared learning through community workshops and forums.

We are coming to the end of another great school year and wanted to provide an update on Student Smart-Tag Bus Passes for the end of this 2022-2023 school year.

• Returning LISD students should keep their Smart-Tag badges until the 2023-24 school year. We do not plan to reprint and reissue badges for our 12,000 students every year. Campuses are welcome to take them up and reissue them to returning students if they choose to do so.
• Students NOT returning to LISD next year should turn in their Smart-Tag badges to their Bus Driver the last two days (5/25 & 5/26) of school. Again, campuses are welcome to take up Smart-Tags for students NOT returning and send them to Transportation if they choose to do so.
• Lastly, as previously mentioned, a student with a lost card will get one (1) free replacement. Thereafter there will be a $5 replacement charge. The Smart-Tag support email address is trans.smarttag@leanderisd.org and the phone number is ext #10711, or 512-570-0711.

We are experiencing a slight delay with yearbooks but they should arrive before the end of the school year and will be delivered to students.

If you missed out on pre-ordering a yearbook there will be a limited number available for sale ($20.00 each) These yearbooks will be sold on a first come first serve basis- no reservations will be accepted.

Yearbooks will also be available to purchase online for $24.00 each at EntourageYearbooks.com. Late book orders will available after Monday, May 22, 2023, and ship up to 4 weeks AFTER the delivery of the bulk order that is being shipped to the school. Books will not ship to the school, instead they will be individually shipped to your home address.
Late book sales are printed after the original production run, there might be some differences in the way the book is produced.

Due to the enthusiastic participation of our students, we are pleased to announce that our Run Club will continue through the end of the school year and will end on May 24th!! We will continue to meet at 7am on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays with the following exceptions due to school holidays and STAAR testing:

Food Program @ Mason

Mason has a food program for families! For interested families, weekend meal kits are sent home each Friday with students in bags the student can put in their backpacks. In addition, at-school snacks may also be provided. If you believe your student/family would benefit from the program, please fill out the form here. You can select weekend meal kits, snacks, or both. Please complete just one form for the family if you have multiple students at Mason, but please list all of their names on the form. Attendance Reminders

Our Official Attendance Time is 8:15. Please note, this is an adjustment in time from previous years.

Absences should be reported in one of two ways:

1) Attendance email: mason.leanderisd.org / campus info tab / attendance / report an absence

2) Send a note (or doctor's note) when your student returns.

While we appreciate a phone call notification, a hard copy is still required to properly code the attendance record.

*School Dismissal Manager is used for transportation purposes only and is not the acceptable way to report an absence.

Register for a HAC account to monitor grades, attendance, assignments. Also used to retrieve report cards and update information concerning your student.
