Fullerton Weekly Update

Because of the current diminished staffing capacity, ASD4 will switch our ALL students to full all-day Remote Learning Model starting on Monday, 11-30-20 and continuing until after winter break. Our goal is to return to teh in-person hybrid/remote learning model on Tuesday 1-5-21.

Mr. Langton's communication regarding current conditions and change to remote learning

At Fullerton we have high expectations, and one of our expectations is students attending school every day. Attendance is mandatory, and parents have a responsibility to ensure their child is attending school regularly. We are still following all attendance procedures and policies. However, we understand that it is necessary to be absent from time to time. We ask that you contact the office to make us aware of the absent.

Students who are Remote Learners will not be considered "present" if they log on but are not on camera and are not participating. Students that are not showing up, logging in, participating and engaging will be marked absent and, in some cases, truant. In extreme cases of absences or truancy, a home visit will occur by Fullerton staff which could include the Addison Police Department. In extreme cases students will be reported to the DuPage County Truancy Program.

ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY, AND PARENTS HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THEIR CHILD ATTEND SCHOOL REGULARLY!

FULLERTON ELEMENTARY BOOK FAIR

If you have not done so, please consider becoming a member of the Fullerton PTA! The PTA provides our school with numerous activities and funds that are essential to the success of our school community. Please support the Fullerton PTA by becoming a member. In response to the spread of COVID-19 cases and the need for testing, the DuPage County Health Department has announced a second community-based drive thru site. The test site is located at the Odeum Expo Center (1033 N. Villa Ave.) in Villa Park and will be open the week fo Nov. 29, the site will operate from Sunday, Nov. 29 through Friday, Dec. 4 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Please see the atttached flyers for additonal informaton.

As you may know, ComEd is still cutting utility services to households that have past-due amounts and who have not reached out to them for payment assistance. I wanted to share ComEd’s new program that offers families a grant of up to $300 to help cover their past-due balances. With winter here, I thought it would be very useful to share this new program to our students’ families. You can view the press release here if you are interested in learning more about the program.
