PTCC Spring Auction Planning, Join Us!
The PTCC Auction will take place on March 23 at the Distillery of Modern Art. Join us for our Spring Fundraising Event planning meeting this Thursday, January 18, at 8pm via Zoom. Meeting ID: 753 614 0314. Last year’s auction raised over $90,000 for GLOBE events, multiple initiatives and faculty support. We can’t do it without help from volunteers, so please join us!
The PTCC Auction needs your help!
You can join our efforts even if you can’t join our weekly meeting on Thursdays at 8pm (meeting info above). Please click here to view our different needs and click here to sign up to help make our biggest fundraiser come to life! We can't do it without the help of our generous parents and friends. We have all levels of time commitment opportunities. Email us for information.
Come Decorate for Lunar New Year!
We'd love some help getting the campuses decorated for LNY! Click here to sign up if you can help.
Target Language Book Fair for Spring 2024
We would like to be able to have a mini book fair with French, Mandarin, and Spanish books in the spring. To make this happen, we need volunteers who will lead this effort. If you are interested in taking this on, please email PTCC by Sunday, January 28.
Exceptional Children's Week Volunteers Needed (April 2024)
If you are interested in joining the planning committee for Exceptional Children's Week, please email PTCC by Sunday, January 28.
Field Day Planning
Calling all LC and UC parents! Field Day happens every year in May, but it cannot happen without parent involvement. If you are interested in helping by being a Co-Lead for the Field Day, please reach out to CLASSPAC.
“Volunteer of the Month” Carpool Winners!
Congratulations to our volunteers of the month, Hannah Martin and Heather Horne. We hope you enjoy using the “Volunteer of the Month” carpool flag to skip the line this month of January. Special shout-out to the extraordinary Florence Cannon for her volunteerism as well. Be sure to log your volunteer hours for a chance to win next month!
Lost and Found: Please label your items!
Parent volunteers return labeled items to the owner's classroom. If your items are not labeled, they may never make it back home. Please take a moment to find a labeling solution that will work for you. Here are some ideas to get you started: Avery No-Iron Kids Clothing Labels, Sharpie Fabric Marker, and Mabel's Labels (customizable labels and stamps, dishwasher and laundry safe. Enter "The GLOBE Academy" in the "support a fundraiser" field, and they'll donate 20% back to GLOBE!).
Volunteer hours can help GLOBE receive grants
Did you know that when you volunteer, it can help GLOBE receive grants? Some donors want to know how involved the community is. We can show them that parents are invested in the school by sharing the volunteer hours we have tracked. So please remember to log your hours here. When you log your time, you'll also be entered in our drawing for a volunteer-of-the-month carpool flag. As a reminder, each family is requested to volunteer ten hours each year. To see current volunteer opportunities, click here. Thank you for volunteering at GLOBE.
Shopping can help GLOBE!
Did you know when you shop at places like Publix, Kroger, and OfficeMax/Office Depot, they will donate to GLOBE PTCC? To find out how to easily set this up, click here. Every penny counts!

Yearbook
Ollie is a wise owl. He ordered his 2023-2024 yearbook
Click here to be like Ollie. We will be setting our final print count soon. If you don’t order, you are not guaranteed to receive a book. After that time, you will only be able to sign up for the waitlist, so please order now.
Thank you to everyone who has sent in photos of GLOBE students doing GLOBE activities. Please send photos through ReplayIt. We know that RePlayIt is not working for everyone, so, if you have any difficulties, please send them by email and be sure to identify the students in your photo and their grade level.
Board of Directors
The next Board of Directors meeting will be held on Monday, January 29 at 7pm. Details will be posted in next week's newsletter, on campus notices and on GLOBE's website from Monday, January 22.
