This course is designed to align to state standards while engaging and motivating students. Building on their work with linear, quadratic, and exponential functions, students extend their repertoire of functions to include polynomial, rational, radical, and trigonometric functions. Students also expand their abilities to model situations and solve equations, including solving quadratic equations over the set of complex numbers and solving exponential equations using the properties of logarithms. The course covers sequences and series, probability distributions, and more advanced data analysis techniques.

Your grade in the course will be based on a combination of assignments:

• Class Participation
• Exit Tickets
• Review Problems
• Quizzes
• Tests

Expectations:

• You must log into the Online Learning System (OLS) and work on your school work every day
• Complete assignments by the due date and redo any assignments that do not earn full credit

Grade Structure:

• A: 80% - 100%
• B: 70% - 79%
• NC (No Credit) - Anything below 70% means you're not earning credit for the course

Due Dates:

• Assignments are typically posted immediately following a live Class Connect (CC) session and will generally be due at 4 PM the same day
• Grades will generally be updated within 24 hours of submission

Late Policy:

• There is no penalty for late assignments, but all assignments must be submitted by 4 PM on the last day of the Block
• You'll need to complete a Block Appeal Form and meet with your Champion Teacher the last week of the Block if you're planning to appeal for an extension to submit assignments
