Mill Valley Weekly
Thursday, March 18th, 2021
Hello Mill Valley Families,
We are proud to share the results of our parent survey which came in at a 4.47 out of 5! Thank you for taking the time to complete the parent satisfaction survey this winter. Mill Valley Elementary is dedicated to upholding our district mission of Every Student Learning, Growing and Succeeding. Your input on the survey gives us an opportunity to reflect upon our areas of strength and areas in which we can improve and grow.
We have recently received the results of your feedback and have done an initial analysis. Here are the areas you said were working well:
I would recommend this school to other parents
I am proud to say I have a child at this school
The school is clean and well maintained
In the next few weeks the staff will take a closer look at the survey results and identify an area for improvement. We will also be rolling out the parent survey results at the PTO meeting on April 14 if you would like to join us virtually. We value all of our families and will continue to grow in our service and dedication to you.
Sincerely,
Robin Schrot, Principal
Allyce Harris, Associate Principal

Remote Learning Day Information
Remote Learning Day Information
As a reminder, March 26th is a Remote Learning Day for all students, and will be our first High Interest Day! All necessary links and materials will be sent to students and families the week of March 22nd. What is a high interest day you might ask? A high interest day provides students the opportunity to learn about and explore high interest topics and careers. The learning goals for the day are listed below.
Student Learning Goals:
I can identify topics or careers that interest me.
I can make a plan to learn more about interesting topics.
I understand how the work I do now can lead to my future career.
What videos will my child have access to? If you would like to get ideas, materials or talk with your child ahead of time about which videos might interest them, you can see a list of all the topics and career videos HERE. This is the collection of videos that we have curated especially for our Muskego-Norway High Interest Day. Some videos offer additional follow-up activities, however please note that all additional materials are optional.
How can my child’s day be structured?
To support students learning and engaging from home, we have put together a suggested schedule linked HERE. A modified half day schedule will be shared for our 4K students. Moving into the week of March 22, this suggested schedule will be shared again by your child’s classroom teacher and will include all of the links and information needed to access our High Interest Day resources. Some printed materials will also be coming home with your child.
Feedback
Following March 26th, we would appreciate your feedback regarding how your child enjoyed and was able to engage with the high interest day content. The survey is linked HERE and will be included again in upcoming school communication.
Student Profile Survey
As we begin to construct class lists for next year, the elementary staff will consider many factors including parent/guardian input on learning needs and styles.
If you would like to give us your input, please complete THIS SURVEY prior to March 26, 2021.
The information you provide will give us another perspective on your child. Please refrain from making specific teacher requests.
