SPRING SPORTS KICK-OFF MONDAY 2/28
Writer’s Week is Back!
Writers Week will run the week of February 28-March 3 this year. Writers Week is an annual celebration of writing in all forms and varieties. It is a week in which published authors, students, administrators, teachers, and staff members share and discuss their writing and writing processes.
Writers Week seeks to excite and inspire students to write their own truths and provide a platform for the diverse voices of PHS, to foster a more accepting and compassionate school community, and to remind students that writing is not limited to the walls of the classroom.
Throughout the week, students will be able to learn from and ask questions of published authors, poets, musicians, journalists, etc., known locally, nationally and even internationally.
Writers Week is a unique and memorable experience that only a handful of students across the nation get to experience. It is a week in which our students get to rub elbows with and ask advice of some of the best and most celebrated professional writers. This event will showcase the beauty of a diverse school population, and highlight the positives of our school and community. Writers Week was founded in 1995 by William Fremd High School.
PHS began Writers Week in 2018. Kudos to Mrs. Jodi Moeller and the English Department for planning this wonderful event for our PHS students.

Student Wellness Matters!
Without a doubt this year has been a challenging one. Many students are struggling through this period of uncertainty, trying to find some sense of equilibrium and normalcy. While we don't have a magic pill to fix these things, we do know that healthy life choices and proper stress management can help keep a lot of us regulated and functioning in a time of need. Maybe connection to an outside agency or organization is best for support and resources. Whatever the need, Pattonville has 2 wonderful websites to help students, staff and community members in need.
- Pattonville Wellness Center
- Serves as a resource hub for academic, physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing
- Contains links to self-care ideas, activities, and emergency 24/7 support organizations
- Shares aspects of a virtual calming room and easily used in class or at home
- Pattonville Area Community Services for Families and Children
- Access to agencies within the Pattonville community that provide a variety of services to children and families
