Hands-on Instructional Activities and Intervention
Every classroom has intervention time in their daily schedule. During this time, students that struggle with the academic content are getting individualized assistance to meet their needs. The picture included will give you an idea of what that instructional time looks like.
Cada salón de clases tiene tiempo de intervención en su horario diario. Durante este tiempo, los estudiantes que luchan con el contenido académico obtienen asistencia individualizada para satisfacer sus necesidades. La imagen incluida le dará una idea de cómo es ese tiempo de instrucción.
Attendance
as a campus, we are continuing to struggle with attendance. Currently our attendance rate is 95.8%. As you can see we are not meeting our campus goal of 96.5%. It is important for your child to attend school everyday. We have noticed a trend that many of our students are out on Mondays and Fridays. Monday is the beginning of our instructional week and we assess that instruction on Friday. When your child is not at school they are missing quality instruction time. Students can get make up work that they miss, but they will not get the first hand instructional time with the teacher, which is so very important.

Como campus, continuamos luchando con la asistencia. Actualmente nuestra tasa de asistencia es del 95.8%. Como puede ver, no estamos cumpliendo nuestra meta del campus de 96.5%. Es importante que su hijo asista a la escuela todos los días. Hemos notado una tendencia de que muchos de nuestros estudiantes salen los lunes y viernes. El lunes es el comienzo de nuestra semana de instrucción y evaluamos esa instrucción el viernes. Cuando su hijo no está en la escuela, pierde tiempo de instrucción de calidad. Los estudiantes pueden recuperar el trabajo que se pierden, pero no obtendrán el tiempo de instrucción de primera mano con el maestro, lo cual es muy importante.
PARENTS, WE NEED YOUR HELP
We are in the process of deciding when to begin tutorials with our students. Tutorials will be held from 3:45-4:45. I would like to know if you feel tutorials should begin in the month of October or January. Please stop by the office to complete an input form or write a note to your child's teacher with your preference.
