Note from the Principal

Happy Friday Slater Nation!


It looks like we've made it through the hottest days! Despite the heat, our Slater students had a great week. We were happy to acknowledge our Honors students (and Students of the Semester) at today's Honor's Assembly. This annual assembly acknowledges the second-semester academic achievements from the last school year (please see the pictures below).


We will be starting next week with a moment of silence in recognition of those lives lost in the September 11th attacks. We work hard to acknowledge how the September 11th attacks changed the course of American history, as well as the sacrifices made to ensure democracy and freedom across our country.


Please take a moment to look over the Slater Strong potluck invitation below. The focus of the group is to open community conversations that support the diverse cultural backgrounds of all our students.


We hope to see you at tonight's football game. Please wear green to support our slater (see below) who was in a recent car accident. Several proceeds collected at tonight's game will go to support the family in this time of need.

Upcoming Dates and Events...

September 28th - High School Open House

The high school will be holding its Open House on September 28th at 5:45 pm (the middle school Open House is on August 28th). We will be serving cider and donuts starting at 5:30 pm. Families will go through their child's schedule starting at 5:45 pm.

November 8th and 9th - Family/Teacher Conferences

FHUMHS will hold evening conferences on November 8th, and afternoon conferences on November 9th. Sign-up information will be shared in October. While we love in-person conferences, we are happy to accommodate virtual meetings as well!
