If your child is in grade 6 we have an important letter below for you to read regarding Provincial Achievement tests. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Benson.

Grade 8's have been invited to Parkland for their Career Fair Wednesday, April 19th. Venders will be there answering questions regarding education and skills needed to be successful in their field.

All grade 6 students were building and testing flying devices this week as they wrapped up their Air, Aerodynamics and Flight unit. They made parachutes, paper airplanes, gliders and "flying rabbits". There were lots of great designs made and flown. Mr. Lorne and Mrs. Clarke were asked to come and help judge as the contests included longest flight, best directional flight and fanciest flight.

Grade 8 students participated in a presentation regarding drugs and alcohol. Thank you to Jenessa Mulgrew from Alberta Health Services!

The 6F class had a great time in the science lab by learning to detect different fabrics using microscopes. Looking at the clues on the crime scene they determined who committed the crime.

Students finished up their BEST program by working on nonverbal communication and created beautiful works of art!

All current grade 6 and 7 students will be completing their exploratory option choices for next year this week. If would like to see the exploratory options that are available the Google Form is available on their child's homeroom Google Classroom. The Google Forms are due by April 16th, 2023.

Please make sure you sign up for the Parent Portal and check the fee section for added sports fee/field trip fees.

The grade six classes are doing a Little Caesars Pizza fundraiser. Money raised will be used to partially pay for busses and entry. The deadline is April 23rd. Cheques should be made payable to Pine Grove Middle School.
