Coffee With the Principal
I will be holding a "coffee with the Principal" throughout the school year. All are welcome to come. This is a time where you can learn about school and district initiatives. Also, this is a time that I get to hear from Chapman Hills parents and their celebrations and concerns.

January 25th-8:00-9:00 AM
February 27th-8:00-9:00 AM

I am looking forward to this collaborative time to sit and share with all of the Chapman Hills Community.
STEM Challenges
Thank you to all who have donated items for our STEM challenges. The students are having a great time collaborating and working with their classmates within the design process.
LOST AND FOUND
Please check the lost and found the week after Thanksgiving. We will be donating all clothes to the 5th grade fundraiser. Please pick up your lost and found items by Friday December 9th.
Hello and Good Bye
I would like to officially welcome Cathy Garcia to the office as the new Attendance/Health clerk. She is a familiar face to Chapman Hills as she has worked in Mrs. Adamiak's room for the past two years. When you are in the office next time please stop by and introduce yourself to her.
We are sad to see Mrs. Andrea DiScuillo leave us here at Chapman Hills. She was a welcome and friendly face in the office that I know will be missed by students and parents. However, we are very excited for her new position at the District Office with the Office of Special Education. Congratulations Miss Andrea! We will miss you!
Kindergarten Morning Drop Off Reminders
Thank you again for not dropping off in front of the kindergarten gate! This has helped tremendously with traffic flow and student safety.
Classroom Happenings
Kindergarten has kicked the year off with a bang! In October, we learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin and had the opportunity to attend our first field trip to the Irvine Regional Park Pumpkin Patch. With the pumpkins we picked at the Pumpkin Patch, we learned about the science of pumpkins and observed our own rotting pumpkins to go along our Pumpkin Jack story. Throughout the month of November, we focused the First Thanksgiving during which we created books all about the Pilgrims and the Native Americans and had fun discussing all the things we were grateful for. Our fabulous Kindergarteners even created their own Thankful Plate Full of things with their families to share all that they are thankful for. We are looking forward to our Annual Kindergarten Holiday Performance in December. Wishing you all very Happy Holidays!
