At the December BOE meeting, President Stephanie Neuman recognized 5 New Berlin High School Seniors for being named Illinois State Scholars. Robert Biesenthal, Landon Williams, Ben Hermes, and Jacob Heironimus. Not pictured - Brookelyn Hermes (she had a basketball game).

A special thanks to NBHS students Miley Crow and Jacob Heironimus for presenting to the Freshman class this past Tuesday. Their presentation provided tips on how to prepare for exams and what specific exams in different classes were like. The HS will dismiss for semester exams on Tuesday and Wednesday at 2:20. On Tuesday, students that ride the bus go to the cafeteria and are supervised by a staff member until the buses arrive at 3:10.

Dual Credit Connection

Students are already getting it and even instructing each other on what to do!

Spanish Dual Credit students did a fabulous job on the December bulletin board! They also taught a really engaging lesson to end the semester with Ms. Burke's 6th grade class. They taught them vocabulary dealing with winter break, and students had a great time racing with snowballs (cotton) and practicing the new words during the game. They were given candy canes to enjoy as well. We have loved our time with these students and look forward to teaching them again next semester.
