Dear Covington Middle School Community,

First and foremost, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents who attended our recent Coffee with the Principal and Campus Advisory Council meeting. Your presence and engagement in our school community are greatly appreciated.

We want to offer a special thank you to those parents who shared their concerns during the meeting. Your questions and feedback provided us with a valuable opportunity to explain the logistics behind certain decisions, fostering transparency and understanding.

We are thrilled to announce that, with your input and support, we have successfully finalized the Campus Improvement Plan. This plan sets the course for transformative changes aimed at enhancing the educational experience and overall environment at Covington Middle School.

Attention 8th-grade parents: please take note that the PSAT date has been rescheduled to October 24th. If you still wish to opt out, you have the opportunity to do so by completing the survey that was sent out earlier this week.

Covington Middle School believes that having a school community where your child feels safe and respected is an important foundation to their academic success. That is why Covington will be participating in No Place for Hate®, a national program supporting schools in their commitment to celebrating diversity, promoting respect and confronting bullying at all levels.

Developed by the ADL, a leading anti-hate organization that has worked for over a century to “secure justice and fair treatment to all,” No Place for Hate will help us incorporate new anti-bias and bullying prevention resources into our existing programs in order to have one consistent message of inclusivity.

You and your child can help support our No Place for Hate program in a number of ways:

These are pictures from the Elementary Recruiting tour with Dance and Theatre. We visited Menchaca, Cunningham, Joslin, and Patton Elementary. Then we ate Lunch at the mall.
