Dear Academy of St. Bartholomew Community,

Now is the time more than ever to talk about all the positives that we have with our School and Community. The Academy of St. Bartholomew is doing an AMAZING job of serving our students in an online academic setting. We were one of the VERY first schools to communicate our online vision for our students and MORE IMPORTANTLY we are delivering on that vision. We have THE most talented, loving and creative faculty in the world. (i am biased) #stbartsproud

I would like to do an updated recap of accomplishments for The Academy of St. Bartholomew

Here are a few highlights:

1. New Administration

2. New Faculty- Grades 3-8, Music, Art and PE.

3. Establishment of a vibrant Middle School

4. Implementation of a Fine Arts Program with the addition of a "remarkable" Art Teacher in Mr. Don Woods.

5. Focus on Project Based Learning and STREAM initiatives.

6. Implementation of the Culture Project for our Middle School.

7. Streamlining of our school budget and spending so that we are significantly below what our spending projections were for the 2019-2020 academic year.

8. Increase in enrollment by 24%.

9. Refurbishing of our Library.

Goals Accomplished in March, 2020

10. ONLINE INSTRUCTION IMPLEMENTED SUCCESSFULLY

11. Implementation of a VIRTUAL NEWS CHANNEL- THIS IS COMING SOON

12. Celebration of 8th grade students, kindergarten and preschool planned and soon to be accomplished.

We are not done yet, below is what will be ACCOMPLISHED in 2020-2021.

2020-2021

1. Creation and implementation of a Learning Commons/Student Center. Our library and technology center will be combined to provide our students PK-8th grade with a 21st century learning center that incorporates literacy, technology and STREAM.

2. Electives for our Middle School students. Introducing our students to such classes as Intro to Biology, Shakespeare, Intro to Chemistry, First Aid, Architecture, these are just to name a few electives that we are currently brainstorming for the upcoming year.

3. Playground for our students at recess.

4. Art and Music Fair

5. Creation of an Outdoor Environmental Preschool Program

6. Jon Peterson Provider

Our goal continues to be the "'BEST" Catholic School in the greater Cleveland area and we are moving in that direction. #Ilovestbarts.

I am so proud that this pandemic has not stopped our Andrea from her ambition to serve. She has been making masks and donating them to friends, family, classmates and very soon she is dropping off her donated masks to the Cleveland Clinic FHC. Andrea has been leaving her masks in boxes on the doorsteps of her intended recipients.

I am so incredibly proud of Andrea. She is the embodiment of what makes The Academy of St. Bartholomew so special. #stbartsproud #servingforChrist

May 27- Kindergarten Promotion at 1 pm

May 28- CLAP OUT HONK OUT for Eighth Grade at 2 pm

May 31- Eighth Grade Graduation at 11 am
