Lunch Applications/Meal Site
Lunch applications are due each year. We are encouraging all families to apply this year. You can apply on: https://www.myschoolapps.com/Home/PickDistrict
Meal Site
James H. Harrison is a meal site. Meals are distributed on Monday and Wednesdays that include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals will be distributed on Monday and Wednesdays from 10:00am - 1:00pm on the side of the building outside of the cafeteria.
FAQ
Q. Are my students required to complete all assignments?
A. Yes, students will be assigned grades this year based on progress towards mastery of state standards.
Q. What should my child do on Wednesdays?
A. Wednesdays are set aside for: students to complete assignments, asynchronous learning opportunities, on-line interventions, enrichment opportuniites, small groups, related services for students with disabilities, ESOL sessions. If your child's teacher needs to meet with your child you will be provided with a link.
Q: I am still having technology issues, what should I do?
A. If the school team have been unable to help you to resolve your technology we encourage you to call 240-696-6229 for support.
Q. Where can I find the school supply list?
A. The school supply list in on our website under the scrolling banner and in the "Quicklinks" tab. You can also find the school supply list on PGCPS's website as all elementary and middle schools were asked to request the same items this year.
A. As of now the plan will remain the same. If or when it changes the school and school district will share information with families.
Q. Do students have to wear uniforms?
A. No, however we do ask students are wearing attire that is appropriate.
Q. I am not sure if I want my child recorded. What can I do?
A. As a parent you must "opt out" of your child being recorded. it is important to note that you or your child will have to adjust the settings and fill out the Google Form posted in your child's Google Classroom.
Q. When will iPads be in?
A. We do not have a date yet, but when they arrive we will call families in PK first and then if students in Kindergarten who want to switch out devices.
Q. How to I change my password?
A. We sent out a link a few weeks ago to support families. If you don't know how to access the link email Mrs. Degen at laura.carr@pgcps.org
Q. How do I get access to my child's Google Classroom?
A. Your child's teacher will need your email address to add you.
Q. How do I get access to Class Dojo?
A. Your child's teacher can add you. She/he will need your phone number and email address.
