Chester Elementary School

The picture you see here is of our bus safety drill that took place this week. We began with an all-school assembly and finished with bus evacuation practice for all students. It's another one of our monthly safety drills and was a great exercise for students and staff.

Three things for you this week:

• Jog-A-Thon - The final tally is in and we made an unbelievable $12,638.97! We have an opportunity to do some great things here and will be working with the students on what they might like to see on campus. Another huge thank you to all of you for your support.
• Halloween is next week and we want to get out some information to you regarding costumes:
  
• Costumes can be worn to school
  
• No masks at school (appropriate masks can be worn for the costume parade at 2:00 p.m. on the playground)
  
• No make-up or blood
  
• No weapons or toys promoting violence
• There is no school on Wednesday, November 1st. This is an all-staff professional development day. We hope you have a grate day with your kids. Thanks in advance for your flexibility as I know this can cause childcare headaches for our working families.
