The semester is coming to a close, which means finals! Please see the schedule immediately below. Monday will be a regular day, but Tuesday through Thursday will be minimum days.
If your freshmen is in neeed of some additional tutoring to prepare for finals, make sure s/he attends Pajama Crama Satruday morning sponsored by Link Crew. Frehmen will be fed free pancakes and also get some academic support from our amazing Link leaders in the library from 9:00-11:00. No RSVP necessary.

- On December 9th & 10th our cadets performed community service for the Settlement House. This marks our 18th year supporting this valuable organization for the less fortunate during the holidays.
- On December 14th, NJROTC Drill Teams will compete at Orange Glen High School in Escondido. Our Color Guard and Armed/Unarmed drill teams will once again represent Corona High in a highly competitive drill event that will be judged by Marine Corps Drill Instructors out of MCRD San Diego. We look forward to placing 1st Place trophies in all events. Good luck, cadets! RAWR!

Panthers for CHOC
Our Panthers for CHOC Club is working hard on their toy drive for CHOC Children's Hospital. Collection boxes were placed around campus to for toy donations. At this point donations can be dropped off at the Pancake Breakfast with Santa on December 14th at Applebee's on McKinley. Let's help Team Torres and our Panthers spread some holiday cheer!
Panthers Gettin' Fit
To promote RAWR behaviors (see below), WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading), and overall Health and Wellness for all staff and students, we are implementing Panthers Gettin' Fit. Each Month, Panthers will focus on a different RAWR behavior. Each week, Panthers will focus on a different component of WICOR in the classroom and a different component of health. In addition to our Panthers being academically healthy, we want them to strive for optimal health in all facets of their lives. We want our Corona family and community to join us in our quest for Panthers being Fit and On Point! RAWR!

Athletics
Winter Sports
All our winter sports teams have had some big early wins as we prepare to head into our highly competitive Big VIII league play. Be sure to come out and support our Panthers!
Boys Basketball: We had a close win yesterday evening at home against Yucaipa. It was a close game all the way through with a final score of 51-48.
Girls Basketball: All three levels travelled to Montebello today for tournament play and our varsity squad has a record of 2-7. We are looking for a victory at today's tournament!
Girls Soccer: Our Panthers are currently sitting with a record of 3-2-1. The team has a game Saturday against JW North. All three levels will play Ontario High School on December 16th, Murrieta Valley on December 18th, and in the Silverlakes Tournament the first weekend going into the winter break. Keep up the great work, ladies!
Boys Soccer: Our boys squad continues to play strong early in the season and currently have a record of 3-1-2. Expectations are high this season for this team. Let's go, Panthers!
Girls Water Polo: What a great start for our polo team with a record of 6-2. Our last victory was on Senior Night (December 11th) as we hosted Ayala High School with a score of 6-3. We honored our six seniors for their leadership.

Wrestling: After beating Centennial, our girls wrestling continues to be undefeated! Another unbelievable start to what is sure to be another successful season with a deep run into the post-season!

Cheer: Our varsity squad did awesome job at today's Winter Pride assembly. We will be having Winter Clinic on January 12th at 2:00 pm for all ages. For more information please email coronapepsquad@gmail.com.

SCHOLARSHIP NEWS
- Each year our PTSA provides multiple scholarships to seniors. The application process is simple but applicants must be standing members of PTSA in order to apply. Membership is still only $10.00 and envelopes can be found and turned in to the main office prior to applying. Take advantage of this awesome opportunity now!
