Don't miss this fascinating talk about a mash-up between Hemingway's classic novels and Disney characters like Mickey and Donald. Chicago author and journalist Rob Elder will share images and explain how this very interesting, unique project came to exist. Books will be available to purchase and have signed.
The Songs of J. Will Callahan
Free and open to the public
Local author Mary Jane Doerr will speak about her latest book, The Songs of J. Will Callahan: Tin Pan Alley's Blind Lyricist. Callahan was a Petoskey-Bay View resident who wrote nearly 300 songs in the early part of the 20th century. His 1917 song Smiles sold 5 million copies.

We have a large collection of maps, city guides, and photographs for you to explore. Bring your own laptop or tablet if possible. Free for members/$10 per session for non-members.
