Spanish Class Concert Trip
On October 31, a group of junior and senior Spanish class students went to a Spanish concert in North Platte.. During the concert, the students learned to dance salsa, play instruments typical of Puerto Rico, and learned to say tabalanguas. Students designed the logo for the shirt they wore for the concert. Students also made posters with the names of the songs Edgar Renee sings during the concert. Edgar Renee took pictures with the students during and after the concert.
After the concert, students went to lunch at Tres Margaritas restaurant. Students ordered food in Spanish and sang songs they learned in Spanish class. Additional students went to a Mexican store to learn about the different types of food, condiments, and sweets from Mexico. Students had the opportunity to buy and enjoy Mexican sweets.
