Celebration of Student Work
Mathematical Artwork Inspired by Kandinsky
Our mathematicians have produced artwork for the windows of the maths classrooms. They were inspired after learning about the abstract works of Kandinsky and decided to try it themselves.
Models of Cells in Biology
Year 7 have impressed Biology teacher Mr Cox, by producing models of cells for their homework. They are very detailed models, showing every element with labels.
Baking Bread with 7BY STEM
7BY STEM class have been filling the school with lovely bread-baking smells this week. They are focusing on kitchen skills this term in technical enrichment and this week was bread week!
GCSE Celebration Evening
We held a presentation evening this week for our former Year 11 students who collected their GCSE certificates. It was lovely to see the students who moved onto other education after leaving us. The students shared with us what their next steps have been, including A-Level study, college and apprenticeships.
Attendance Matters
Every single day a student is absent from school equates to a day lost of learning. At Corby Technical School we pride ourselves in maintaining excellent attendance. Our target is to achieve and maintain a whole school attendance of above 96.5%. We will be giving you weekly updates on our whole school attendance, the tutor group and house who achieved the highest attendance this week.
Whole School Attendance
The whole school attendance this week was at 95.38% meaning that we've just missed our target! If we try really hard to come in next week, I'm sure we can make this figure the highest it has every been!
Best Tutor Group
Well done to 7CA who had an attendance figure of 99.23% this week!
House Winner
Our winning houses this week are Cayley and Coleman, who together had the best attendance of 95.85%.
