Teaching Children Kindness and Empathy using Social Emotional Learning:
Teaching kids about empathy, kindness, and compassion is something that all schools are required to do. Research shows that more than one out of every five students report being bullied at school. Teach your students to recognize their emotions, not just react to them. An example of this is by you clearly stating your own feelings to your child: “I am feeling a little angry right now. So I’m going to take a nice deep breath to calm myself down and then we can talk.”
