Arrival and Dismissal

Morning Arrival: Beginning this week, we will not have parents walking students in the building. Thank you for working with us to build up our students to be independent.


Afternoon Dismissal: Please be sure to remain in 2 lines at dismissal until you reach Officer Morgan. He will merge our traffic so we stay in order with our CurbSmart App. It is important that all parents remain in your car during dismissal and wait until you can pull to the side to exit your vehicle for the safety of you and your child. Also, please remain patient as we continue to work with our CubSmart App representatives to ensure a fast but safe dismissal.

School Safety

The School District of Pickens County has expanded its safety program to include the I Love U Guys Foundation’s "Standard Response Protocol" (SRP) to standardize how we communicate and respond to emergencies impacting our campuses and people.


The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) provides consistent, clear, and shared language and actions among all students, staff, and first responders that can be applied in any emergency. The SRP is used by schools and institutions across the nation, giving students, staff, parents, communities, and first responders a common language and course of action. Through this approach, members of the campus community will utilize the five SRP actions to define their decisions when responding to an emergency situation. The five SRP actions are listed below and a link is included for further information.
