Lesson Focus: Time Management

Students will be able to identify ways to better manage their time.

Extending the Learning at Home: Ask your student to keep a log of how they spend their free time during the week. At the end of the week have your student evaluate their log and reflect on how they can better manage their time.

Lesson Focus: Exploring Learning Styles

Students will be able to identify their own learning styles.

Extending the Learning at Home: Ask your student to share their learning style. Take this short assessment and learn your learning style as well.

Lesson Focus: Self Advocacy

Students will be able to identify ways they can advocate for themselves.

Extending the Learning at Home: Ask your student to share what they learned as part of the Self-Advocacy activity. Discuss how your student can advocate form themselves in an online learning environment.

The demand for Construction Managers is expected to grow by 15.9% by 2024 in Lancaster County. This career requires a Bachelor's degree with an entry salary of $63,780 and a median salary of $83,920 in Lancaster County.

Local Postsecondary Training Option

Pennsylvania College of Technology offers a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management that prepares students to enter this career. The college provides dozens of other programs and is part of the Penn State University system.
