Mr. Farina's Weekly Wrap-Up

It has gotten too cold too quick, but as we have completed the first week of November, we are excited as we are heading into this season of giving thanks! As a reminder, Report Cards are viewable in the Home Access Center today beginning at 2PM. As our students have completed their first quarter of the year there are great accomplishments to celebrate and as always areas to grow. Our teams and teachers are committed to assisting students during WIN periods and through programs such as Title I Reading and Intervention support. Should you have any concerns with your child's report card and are looking for any additional areas of support please do not hesitate to reach out!

A huge thank you to our Intermediate School Kindness Club who organized our Socktober event and we are so appreciative of our school community for the large donations we received to support our sock drive. The Kindness Club is hard at work planning their November challenge to create a Kindness Wall!

We are incredibly excited for next week as our local veterans will join us for Veterans Day on November 11th. Community members will be able to livestream the event at noon on the 11th. Please check out our school website for details on viewing the live stream.

As a reminder, both the IS and MS will have conferences and early dismissals on November 19-24th. Grade level teams have shared information regarding scheduling conferences and MS students will be dismissed at 12PM and IS students will be dismissed at 1PM during these dates.

As a reminder, IS students will eat lunch in the cafeteria and MS students will have the option to take lunches home. MS families should fill out the form below by November 15th to order lunches.

Our renovation project is entering its final month and we are putting the finishing touches on our building! Over the course of November, our Auditorium will be completed. We are awaiting acoustical panels which should arrive prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Our hallway display and marker boards are currently being hung and calibrated, which will add great visuals to our halls of digital student work. Lastly, our furniture for the Library, STEM Lab, and Common areas should arrive around the holidays!

Our students have done an amazing job working through the renovation and I am excited for them to enjoy learning in the finished product!

Our school is partnering with Weis Markets in the Weis 4 School program. By participating in this program, we can earn money for our school simply by shopping at Weis Markets. When you shop at Weis, scan the barcode below to register your Weis Club Card. Once you register, you’re in the program and you do not need to register again. Then simply scan your Club Card on all future Weis shopping trips. Share this barcode with family and friends so they can earn points for our school too. Thank you for supporting our school!

We are looking for baked good donations for the PTC Bake Sale at Little Shopper’s Village on Friday, November 19. Proceeds will benefit a local family in need. Any type of baked good donation is appreciated! Please have them individually wrapped (except cupcakes) and ready for sale. Items can be dropped off at the Elementary School office during the day (early dismissal) on 11/19 or brought directly to the cafeteria at 5:30pm on 11/19.
