Teacher Talk
You've probably heard people say something to the effect of "Oh I am SO Type A!" at least once in your life. But what does that even mean? Is there a Type B personality?
Beginning in the 1950's, psychologists began sorting people into two categories based on certain personality traits. According to their studies, Type A people are more inclined to be achievement-seeking, driven, and competitive. Type B people tend to be more relaxed, disorderly, flexible, and calm. While these designations of personality have been criticized as being far too general, these distinctions have certainly made their way into popular culture.
If there is any kernel of truth to the Type A and Type B delineation, then I am definitely Type B!
