The end of the 2nd Triad is this Friday, November 6, 2020. Please make sure to check your student's grades on Aeries and make sure they are making every effort to attend intervention on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with their teachers from 9:15-9:55am.

Step 1: Review your child's current grades weekly.

Step 2: Determine which subjects your child needs to improve their grades.

Step 3: Set up tutoring or intervention time with your child's teacher.

Step 4: Communicate with your child's teacher regarding their progress. .

Step 5: Continue to monitor your child's grades weekly.

Grades are due 3 times within each semester. All 3 grades within that triad are used for a students' final Semester grade that is placed on their transcript.

Triad 3 begins November 9, 2020 and ends January 6, 2021.

Teachers Grading Scale May Vary

90 - 100% A- Produces markedly superior work

80 - 89% B- Produces superior work

70 - 79% C- Demonstrates satisfactory work

60 - 69% D- Needs to improve progress in work

Below 60% F- Demonstrates little or no progress in work

Incomplete I- Required work has not been completed (issued

only because of extenuating circumstances)

Lisa Rendon is a Science teacher and Department Chair for the Science department here at Rancho Viejo Middle School. She is also an active member of our Gear up/Equity Team in which she presented a PD on Proactive Classroom Management. Ms. Rendon has gone above and beyond for her department during distance learning. She has expanded her own knowledge of online learning by integrating technology into her daily lessons. During Back to School Night she demonstrated a Science experiment with her students and parents in which everyone was engaged. Within her department, she has weekly meetings in which she inspires her Science department with her friendly and kind demeanor that encourages her staff and students to excel.
