Week of November 7th-11th
A great week!
Hello folks,
It is November. Did we not start school last week? As I was looking at dates, we have two weeks until Thanksgiving. Think about it; 2022 is almost over. We look forward to finishing strong at PES.
I want to thank each parent that attended our 3rd-grade meeting. It was great to listen to your concerns and thoughts about what students face in Decatur County and around our great state. Your heart for all of our students was evident. Thank you for listening and asking questions.
I want to encourage you to check out your child’s paid sheet. I know I have said it before, but so many ask me when tests are, and I have no clue without going to the paid sheet. You can find the link at the bottom of this newsletter.
Not a huge amount of information in this week's newsletter. However, if you need anything, please send us an email or call the school.

Decatur County’s Community Thanksgiving for local families is beginning to gather donations.
PES is gathering Mashed Potatoes!
Our goal is 500 pouches or boxes! Please begin sending in your donations (potatoes or a monetary offering so we can make the purchase) as soon as possible
Smart School - You can still sign up!!!
SMART SCHOOL is in full force. Smart School is a chance for students to get extra help with homework, studying for tests, and keeping up to date with online programs. Smart School is open until 6 each day. If you want more information about it, please contact Dr. Pearcy by emailing her @ amanda.pearcy@decaturschools.org.
Week 4 Attendance Battle
Congratulations to our Kindergarten students again for winning this week. This is two weeks in a row!! With the flu closing some schools, I am glad we are still attending school. But... if your child is running a fever at home, please do not give them anything that will lower it and send them to school. Be mindful of the others they will encounter. I do not mean to be rude; just being honest about protecting all students.
