Fall Testing -- October 12
These tests are taken twice per year: Once in the fall and once in the spring. The assessments help district staff determine strengths and weaknesses of indvidual and groups of students. It also helps teachers determine instructional needs and strategies.
Food Drive
PHS will be hosting a food drive that will run from October 17th to November 2nd. Delivery to the local pantry will take place November 7th.
Every 10 items a student donates, their name will go into a drawing to win gift cards from various businesses. Each class's highest donor will win a $25 gift card, which is new this year. Some teachers will also be giving out extra credit to those who donate.
We are also aware that we are in difficult times and some families may not be able to donate. With that being said, all of the teachers who have said they will offer extra credit for donations are also offering extra credit to any student who volunteers at the food drive.
A special thanks goes out to Adam Bardell (PHS Class of 2014) who has been working closely with his employer and our food drive committee. Adam is a Safety Coordinator at the Hormel Foods plant in Beloit, Wisconsin. Because of Adam's efforts, Hormel Foods will also be a generous contributor to this year's food drive. Thank you Adam and Hormel Foods!
