This Friday is a designated teacher workday. With the new contract, certified staff are permitted to do the workday hours at a location of their choosing.

I'll be finishing the remaining required walkthroughs for the quarter this week. The new walkthrough form will not send teacher feedback yet, so if I visit your room, just know there will be no notification of a classroom visit. This quarter's walkthroughs are simply an opportunity to familiarize users with the new tool. Copies of walkthroughs will be sent to teachers beginning in the 4th quarter.

I'll be absent Tuesday afternoon. I'll be attending the PTA School of Excellence ceremony in Topeka that afternoon and will likely not be back in time for a staff meeting.

Just another polite reminder that if you're going to be absent from school, an email or text to let me know would be appreciated!

The window for state assessments begins when we return from Spring Break. I would ask that grade levels communicate to parents their planned schedule for assessments for planning purposes.
