Ipad Updates - We need your help!

Please remind your student to update their ipad to IOS 16.3 before Monday morning. We are making progress, but still have several students who have not yet updated.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Plug in iPads to charge (iPads will not update if they are not charged to at least 50%)

2. Go to Settings > General > Software Update

3. Download the latest update

4. Press and hold the Download and Install button

5. Select Download and Install Tonight

6. Tap Agree to Terms and Conditions

7. Verify the following morning that the iPad update is complete

CHOCOLATE SALES FOR THE BOSTON/NYC TRIP

Current 7th and 8th graders who are signed up for the Boston/NYC trip this summer will soon have the opportunity to sell some chocolate to help with costs of the trip. Boxes of chocolate should be available for checkout in the office by the end of the week for those interested in offsetting costs. Weather has caused delays in shipping.

Calling All 8th Grade Parents:

The 8th grade banquet is scheduled for April 29th. We need photos of your students for the banquet slideshow. Please email all photos to: Ibmsclassof2027@gmail.com by March 10th.

FINE ARTS SHOWCASE

BEST IS THE STANDARD

We have several signs throughout the building that say "Best is the STANDARD." As discussed on the second day of school, this slogan is applicable to every aspect of life. Whether it's studying, competing, helping others, cleaning, behaving positively, or anything else, we want students to do their absolute BEST. If their mindset is "Best is the STANDARD," great things are going to happen!!

REPORTING ABSENCES

If you are using the skyward feature to submit an absence, please go ahead and select the whole day and our attendance clerk will make corrections where needed. This is a slight change from the beginning of the year.

Mrs Baird's Bread and United Supermarkets have announced the return of the Teachers On The Rise program for the 2022-23 school year.

This student/family nominated program honors three local teachers every month. Teachers have such a tremendous impact on students every day, and these are the stories Mrs. Baird's wants to hear about! Nominate your favorite teacher at www.MrsBTeacher.com!

BUSINESSES TO THE EAST OF LBMS

Some of the businesses directly east of LBMS have asked for help with a few things:

1. Please don't use their lots as a place for student pick-up or drop-off.

2. If your student isn't going to be a paying customer, they do not need to be there for the sake of hanging out or waiting for a ride.

Let's do our part as a Pirate community to help these businesses out.

NO OUTSIDE DELIVERY FOR STUDENT LUNCHES

Parents/Guardians may bring a lunch for their students. Lunches can be dropped off in the front office and students will be allowed to pick-up their food when they are dismissed for lunch.

**Due to security concerns, no outside entity (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Favor, Pizza delivery, Chick-Fil-A, etc.) will be allowed to drop off lunches for students.
