Small-Group Instruction and 1:1 Tutoring

I am a former Kiker Elementary School teacher with many years of experience teaching hands-on math and science, as well as other subject areas. I've worked with students with dyslexia, dyscalculia and math anxiety, and I incorporate art, literature, and the principles of CGI (cognitively guided instruction) into my instruction. I have several tutoring options available - check them out and RSVP below. For students who are not on a conventional school schedule, I also have instructional options available during the day. Tuesdays, 3:10-4:00 p.m.: 2nd Grade After-school Math Problem-Solving Group, Weekly Sessions beginning Sept. 6th

THIS SESSION IS FULL. This second grade group will meet every Tuesday from 3:10-4:00 p.m. We will work in a small group (maximum of 6 students) and will focus on grade level math standards though group problem-solving, based on the principles of Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI). Learning will be cooperative, hands-on, meaningful and fun! $25 per student, per weekly session. Sessions will begin Tuesday, September 6, and continue throughout the school year.

Students will work in groups (maximum of 6 per session) and can receive homework assistance, STAAR prep, or general practice and instruction. $25 per student, per session. One-on-One Tutoring for Elementary Students-Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 5:00-5:55 p.m., beginning Tuesday, September 6th

THESE SESSIONS ARE FULL. One-on-one academic support and coaching for any elementary-aged student. This can include homework help, general practice and reinforcement of the grade-level standards, and STAAR prep. $40 per student, per session. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-5:55 p.m., throughout the school year.
