GoGuardian Beacon: A student safety tool
City Schools uses a tool called GoGuardian Beacon to alert us when a student uses their City Schools device to search for content related to self-harm. During the summer months, the district turned the tool off. With the start of school, we will turn the tool back on and resume alerting school and district staff when students search for content around self-harm. Additionally, GoGuardian provides an additional layer of website filtering to help ensure that students are staying safe while surfing.
Uniform Voucher Waitlist
Beginning August 24, 2022, all requests for general uniform vouchers (for any student who is not homeless), will be added to a waitlist. City Schools has reached capacity for general uniform vouchers and families must now request to be added to the waitlist through the student's school. Requests can be submitted until September 30, but please note that by joining this waitlist, it is not guaranteed that the student/family will receive a uniform voucher. Check with your school's administrative office to submit a uniform voucher request.
Students that are officially documented as homeless, immigrant/newcomer, or foster youth, may be able to receive a uniform voucher and other supports through the Home and Hospital Office. Call 410-396-0775 for more information.

Updated COVID Procedures for 2022- 23
Our health procedures are an important way City Schools keeps students and staff safe. For the 2022-23 school year, we are streamlining our COVID testing, quarantine and isolation rules to ensure all healthy individuals remain in school.
Dentist Visits at School!
We cannot wait to see all of our students' bright smiles back in City Schools! City Schools partners with Smile Maryland to offer in-school dental care for students. Dental care includes a complete dental exam, x-rays, cleaning, fluoride and sealants when necessary, and in most cases, restorative care such as fillings. Dental care is usually at no cost to you. All insurance is accepted including Medicaid and Maryland Healthy Smiles. A low-cost self-pay option is available for those without insurance.
