Leader In Me
On Monday, January 15, the Northwest staff will be training on the principles of a program called Leader in Me. Leader in Me focuses on the 7 habits below and helps students learn how to become self-reliant, take initiative, plan ahead, set and track goals, do their homework, prioritize their time, manage their emotions, be considerate of others, express their viewpoint persuasively, resolve conflicts, find creative solutions, value differences, and live a balanced life. The process helps students develop the skills and self-confidence they need to lead their lives and succeed in school and beyond.
We are excited that our NW team has the opportunity so that we can guide our students into leadership. We are so thankful for you as parents and love the partnerships we have. Ask your teacher how you can be a part of the process!!
How do I Check my Child's Grades on Skyward?
Directions for PARENTS to access Skyward
1. Go to https://www.herefordisd.net/page/quick-links
2. Choose the 2nd option: Skyward Family/Student Access
3. Use Login ID and Password to access grades
4. If you are unsure of your Login ID, choose "Forgot your Login/Password" to get the information.
You may also reach out to your student's teacher to get the Login ID but you will have to choose "Forgot your Login/Password?" to get your password.

Eating Lunch with Students
Eating Lunch with Students
5 parents/guardians a day to come in and eat with their children. Anyone who enters the building is required to present an ID to run through our RAPTOR system. If you would like to come and eat with your child any of these days, please click the link below to schedule your day and time. We look forward to seeing you! Please note that parents should only go to the cafeteria and not the classrooms. Thank you for understanding.
Please be aware that we will not be able to pull students from instruction to eat at a different lunch time. You might need to schedule multiple days if you are trying to eat with each child. Feel free to call the office if you have any questions. If you are a Watch D.O.G. scheduled for the day or a staff member at Northwest, you do not need to fill out the form below.
